Serving Tampa Bay & Greater Orlando

We build the path from classroom to career.

Innovative Academy is a nonprofit Community Development Corporation delivering Pre-Employment Transition Services, Work-Based Learning, On-the-Job Training, and Supported Employment in partnership with the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation — built on faith, integrity, care, and hard work.

The Pipeline

Five stages, one continuous path

Every student moves through the same sequence — from first exposure to paid, sustained employment — with DVR documentation at every step.

01

Pre-ETS

Career exploration, self-advocacy, and workplace readiness for students with disabilities, ages 14–22.

02

WBLE

Work-Based Learning Experience — supervised, real-world placements at local employer worksites.

03

OJT

On-the-Job Training — structured, paid training directly with a hiring employer.

04

Supported Employment

Ongoing coaching and support once a student is placed in competitive, integrated employment.

05

Career Camp

Intensive seasonal camps — job exploration and career camp curriculum, JEC & WBLE hours combined.

Where We Work

Four cities, one team

Our Employment Specialists work directly in the communities we serve, with meeting locations in each city.

What We Stand On

F.I.C.H.

Four commitments that shape how we work with students, families, and employers.

F

Faith

We operate from a foundation of faith in every student's capacity to grow.

I

Integrity

Accurate documentation, honest timelines, and follow-through with DVR and families alike.

C

Care

Every plan is built around the individual student, not a one-size-fits-all track.

H

Hard Work

Real placements, real hours, real accountability — for students and staff alike.
